On 7th January, Sharon and Rob gave a live workshop in Melbourne, Australia. Hearing that we would be in New Zealand over Christmas and the New Year, Waverly Camera Club very kindly flew us over from Auckland, and we were hosted by club members or a week, giving a day-long workshop on the Sunday. Huge thanks to everyone for their generosity and kindness, and especially Paul and Dianna and Vicki and Russel for hosting us in their homes. A big shout out also to Geoff Shaw for all the technical help on the day (and for allowing us to use some of his photos to illustrate this workshop description).

During the workshop we demonstrated different methods of lighting and photographing a model, before using some of the images to show a variety of post processing techniques. Then Sharon created a composite image from scratch using one of the photos. The day was interactive and fun, and the week will hold many special memories for us.
